Spring Lu'au: Ku'u Wahi Pana

The Spring Lū`au is a special cultural event that the Hui O Hawaii club has the pleasure of sharing with our fellow peers, faculty, staff and the local community. The Lū`au is an opportunity to join together to share and participate in the cultural significance of our food and dance. We invite you to enjoy this evening with us, a Hali'a Aloha (Cherished Memory) you will never forget. Dinner is 5-7 in Marshall hall, with the show to follow at 8 in the Memorial Field House. Prices for the general public are dinner only: $16, show only: $12, combo ticket: $24. UPS staff, students, seniors and children: dinner only: $12, show only: $9, combo ticket: $17.Combo ticket includes both dinner and show. Keep a lookout for information to order your tickets in advance!

John Pizzarelli and the UPS Jazz Orchestra

John Pizzarelli, a world-renowned guitarist and singer, will perform with the UPS Jazz Orchestra at 7.30 p.m. in the Blue Mouse Theater. $5 for students and $10 for the general public.

Dr. Murray L. Johnson, M.D., who helped establish the mammalian collections at the Slater Museum of Natural History, helped develop part of one of the first environmental impact reports conducted in the United States.

Works by James Allen and Deborah Kahn

Mia Lipman is senior editor at Yesler creative agency and principal editor at Dots & Dashes. She cofounded Canteen magazine and hosts the reading and music series Lit Fix. Her writing and photography have appeared in Kirkus Reviews, Modern Farmer, The Seattle Review of Books, San Francisco, ParentMap, and elsewhere.

The improv sketch comedy group founded by such names as Amy Poehler and Ian Roberts, performing with Puget Sound's own Ubiquitous They. 8 p.m. in the Blue Mouse Theater. $4 for students & $8 for the general public.
